I remembered pre...Thanks for your thoughtful blog.

I remembered preaching to your UU Fellowship in the early 1970s. I was warned by at least two colleagues that in the discussion after the sermon, I would be verbally assaulted.
I prepared a sermon on THE NINE LIVES OF IMMORTALITY, ending with Shakespeare's lines, "Our revels now are ended ...

The chairman of the meeting came up and sat on the table which had been the "altar." He said, "Who's got the first comment?" There was silence. A woman said, "Do we have to have the discussion today?" The chairman was stunned. He asked "do you want discussion?" And almost all shook their heads, NO.

I am thankful for those times in my life that the service has been a spiritual journey rather than an argument for a credo or a cause.richard boekehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05510718515866092021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8816005865793642443.post-74284210658672976252012-05-28T21:32:39.972-04:002012-05-28T21:32:39.972-04:00This is a "WOW" essay, I'm glad I ha...This is a "WOW" essay, I'm glad I had the chance to read it.Karl Leubahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17599446101233021455noreply@blogger.com
